The Battery in B&W II
The Battery at night in fog, in black and white.
There is almost nothing in this frame, and that is the point. The promenade runs away from the camera, wet enough to reflect, with a line of low posts and cables along the right edge. The street lamps are the only light in it, and the fog has turned each one into a soft bloom rather than a point, so they grow dimmer and vaguer as they recede until the walkway simply stops being visible at all.
Very dark and very quiet. A print for a room where you want depth rather than a view.
