Purple Lightning
A storm over Charleston harbor, from the water's edge.
The bolt branches out across the top of the frame in white against a sky the flash has turned purple. Underneath it the harbor is doing the opposite of everything above — completely calm, holding a long orange column of reflected city light. Along the horizon you can see the whole town: the lights of the peninsula on the left, the Ravenel Bridge lit and small over on the right. A dock runs in at the left edge.
Purple, orange and black. It puts the storm and the city in one frame, which does not happen often.
