Orange Lighthouse
A rock groin running out toward the Morris Island Lighthouse, with the light gone gold.
Everything here is the same temperature. The rocks step away from the camera in a line, old pilings stand in the near corner with their grain worn wide open, and the water beside them has been smoothed by the exposure into gold. The lighthouse is small and dark on the horizon to the right. There are birds up in the left of the frame too — a loose line of five or so, crossing the cloud.
Gold from edge to edge. Warm without being soft.
