This is the same walkway I have photographed at night and in fog, and in daylight it is a different place entirely. The promenade runs away to a vanishing point with the seawall and its iron rail on the left and the harbor flat beyond. On the right, white and pink blooms are banked the whole length of the walk, palmettos standing over them, and the big houses of East Battery behind that, catching early light on their window frames.

Blue, cream and pink. The cheerful one. It suits a bright room.
