The water underneath was completely still, and that produces the thing worth looking at — the bridge's arch and the reflection of the arch meet and close a shape like an eye, with the dark bank showing through the middle of it. The railing is white lattice, and it repeats upside down exactly. Along the right bank the azaleas are out in pink and white, doubled as well. Spanish moss hangs from the oaks above.
