Fog On Folly B&W
Folly Beach in fog, in black and white, from up on the dune.
The pier is still there but the fog has taken most of it — it runs across the middle of the frame as a pale grey line and then simply stops, the end never arriving. In the foreground the sand fence has given up: whole sections have fallen over and lie at angles in the sand, dead grass growing up through them, a row of squat posts running off to the right. The beach beyond is empty and raked flat.
Grey on grey with a lot of broken line work low down. Bleak, in a way I like.
