The Old Remnants
The old groin at Folly Beach in fog, in black and white.
This is the closest look I have at what is left of that structure. The pilings run away from the camera in two rows, the near ones cut flat across the top so you can read the growth rings in them, and a long timber beam runs back between them with the grain standing proud where the sea has eaten out the softer wood. Surf comes in smooth on the left, dry sand sits on the right, and the far end goes into fog.
Wood grain, salt and grey. Vertical — and the texture is the reason to buy it.
