The Purple Starfish II
Starfish left behind on the tidal flats at low light, on the Lowcountry coast.
A big orange starfish sits closest to the camera at the bottom of the frame, and once you have noticed it you start finding the others scattered back across the sand and the shallow pool. The pool is holding a clean reflection of the purple cloud overhead. Off to the right the sand is ribbed and lit gold. A bare driftwood tree stands out on the bar in the middle distance with the low sun just behind it.
Detail near, distance far. It rewards a viewer who walks up to it.
