A live oak leaning out over the water at Magnolia Plantation Gardens.

The tree comes in from the right and reaches almost the full width of the frame, running nearly level with the water rather than upward. Spanish moss hangs off it in long curtains, and the light coming through turns the moss and the new leaves the same warm gold. Underneath, the water is still enough to hold the whole branch structure and the clouds behind it. Green grass runs down the bank.

Green and gold, layered front to back. It brings the outside into a room without shouting about it.
