A garden path in spring with azaleas in full bloom on both sides.

The path is plain gravel and it runs dead straight away from the camera, which is what makes the flowers work — the banks step in from either side and squeeze the walkway down to a narrow line at the back. Pink and white on the left, hard red on the right, and further along it changes over again. Tall trunks run up out of the beds. Overcast light keeps the reds from blowing out.

Very saturated and very green. It brings spring into a room in the middle of winter.
