The sun is genuinely on the horizon here rather than above it, and it has laid a hard red band along the base of the sky and dropped a single column of light down the water toward the camera. Above that band the cloud is deep purple and heavy. Reeds come up through the surface in the foreground as thin dark strokes. The dock and its small roof sit as a flat silhouette to the right.

Red and violet and very little else. Strong from across a room.
