Crescent Moon over Folly
A thin crescent moon over the Folly Beach Pier, from up in the dunes.
The sky is the reason for this one — a clean unbroken gradient running from deep blue at the top, down through lavender and pink, to a gold band sitting right on the water, with no cloud anywhere to interrupt it. The crescent hangs high on the right, very thin. Below, the pier is a dark line with its pavilions on it, and the foreground is dune: rippled sand, sea oats, a broken sand fence running across.
Vertical, and almost entirely gradient. Calm, and it will not tire.
