Rainbow Row II
Rainbow Row, closer in, with the light coming down the street.
The houses step back away from the camera — pink at the near edge, then pale blue, then green, then yellow and coral further along. The detail that holds the near end is the gas lantern: a big six-sided one on an iron bracket, hanging above an arched doorway with a fanlight over it. A curved iron balcony sits further down the row. Window boxes are planted along the sills. The sidewalk runs empty.
Vertical, pastel, and full of ironwork. It suits a hallway or a stairwell.
