Out of This World Sunset
A Lowcountry sunset with the cloud structure doing something genuinely unusual overhead.
The cloud is radiating. The whole formation fans out from the upper left across the entire sky, lit hard pink and red along its undersides against blue-grey above. Beneath it the horizon is broken by a long low sandbar, and one small bare snag stands in the water at center — the only upright thing for what looks like miles. The foreground water has gone soft with a long exposure and is holding the pink.
Very large sky, very small subject. It carries a room by itself.
