I shot this from behind the dock's rope fence and left the fence in. Two weathered pilings and the heavy rope swagging between them run across the bottom of the frame, so you are looking at the boats from where a person would actually be standing. The cloud sits like a solid dark lid. The gap between it and the treeline is where all the gold ended up.

Dark overall with one bright band through it. It gives a room weight rather than brightness.
