Breaking Dawn II
Old pilings in the surf at Folly Beach before the sun is up.
Three square-cut stumps stand in the foreground, split and worn down, and the water running around them has gone to milk with a long exposure. Behind them the pier sits small in the haze. What is unusual is the sky — rays running diagonally down from the upper right in long straight bands, across a purple that grades into pink at the horizon.
Purple, pink and white, with nothing hard anywhere in it. The calmest frame in the collection.
