25 Queen Street
A doorway on Queen Street, downtown Charleston.
The house has been arranged rather than simply painted, and it is worth reading — a red door in a white surround, two red ceramic wall planters mounted on the stucco beside it with small plants in them, red shutters on the window alongside. The blue enamel number 25 sits between the planters. On the ground, clipped boxwood in stone pots, and a shrub throwing out coral-red flowers. The stucco itself is old and patched.
Red and green against grey render. Small, specific, and it makes a good pair with the other doorways.
