A Morning On Meeting St.

This first photo, pictured above was intriguing to me; Not because of the lighting or the actual subject matter, but because I feel as if this is a great example of what Charleston really is.

Unlike most large cities, we still have managed to retain as much of nature as we could over the course of our long history. From the small section of beach by the battery, to backyards and courtyards such as these, there is always a piece of nature squeezed in throughout downtown.

I can’t say for sure that you can find that in other large cities- this to me is something that makes Charleston Special.

Another photo that I quite liked this morning is the one of the door to the right. One of the many lining the streets of downtown. This one in particular, however, had a much clearer view for me to grab the shot. I feel as if I don’t always have the opportunity handed to me as easily as this one.

Presented as if it were meant to be.

It was a beautiful day this morning. The wonderful weather happening right now made me want to head downtown and get some new content for you all, so that’s what I did!

It’s been a while since I went out to get new content, so I was eager to grab some new shots for my booth at the market and for my online store. I’ve gotta say, the lighting made for some great new shots.

Between the weddings I’ve shot, to the new photography studio I have been working on opening, life has been real - real busy. (Almost too busy.) But somehow I always manage to find time, so I went back out and, personally, I think I killed it out there.

Okay, so yeah, the shots turned out great; but today I figured I’d try something new and I got some behind the scenes action to document my process. From me searching for spots, to finding and photographing them, a friend of mine recorded the process for you guys.

If you are interested in watching these behind the scene snippets, you can click here or look me up on Instagram (@justinfalkphotography).

Now, I’ve been discussing what happened today, but I’m sure you guys are more interested in seeing the outcome of todays work, as well as seeing my personal favorite ones from this morning.

So lets begin, shall we.
